In contrast, classical Roman stone arches feature a continuous semicircular curve with uniform radial voussoirs. Carved stone arches are installed using mechanical dry-cladding anchors and structural lintel tie-backs. Rather than placing unsupported vertical dead load onto wooden door frames or drywall, each stone arch segment (springer, voussoir, and keystone) is pre-grooved with rear slots. Grade-304/316 stainless steel brackets and threaded chemical anchors fasten each stone block directly into the structural RCC lintel or brick masonry, reinforced with high-tensile epoxy along interlocking joints.
Traditional prayer mehrabs are fully custom-dimensioned to match ceiling heights, ranging from compact 5-foot residential niches to grand 14-foot community prayer halls. Standard wall depths range from 4 inches to 12 inches. Customizations include multi-layered tiered framing, integrated LED light channels along the arch rim, bas-relief Quranic calligraphy or floral arabesque spandrels, and integrated marble pilaster columns.
